𝓢𝓾𝓻𝓯𝓪𝓬𝓮 𝓓𝓮𝓹𝓽𝓱 is a video work that reconsiders the myth of Narcissus through a Hydro-feminist framework.

What if Narcissus, staring deep into the water’s surface, wasn’t transfixed on his own body but rather every body of water, a realization of his watery essence?

The video was recently part of a group screening called 𝓜𝓪𝓻é𝓮 𝓠𝓾𝓮𝓮𝓻 𝓣𝓲𝓭𝓮𝓼, curated by Chloe Lundrigan and hosted by Gallerie Sans Nom in New Brunswick.

Description: An ice cast, produced from a silicone mold of the artists face, is melted by their caresses. Found video and GIFs animate the text that cycles through the poetics and politics of water.
